WIX EQUESTRIAN CENTRE HUNTER TRIAL SUNDAY 23RD AUGUST 2009. 9.30 AM START CLASS 1 MINI – Course is a maximum height of 18 inches, no ditches or water. This class is only open to those combinations not to have completed a x-country competition at 2ft 3ins or above. Please state on your entry which section you are entering & include a telephone number. Section A –Rider 9 years & under, lead rein or assisted. Section B- Rider 10-15 years, no lead rein or assisted. Section C –Rider 16 years & over. A timed skill will be included in the course & will be used in the event of equality of faults. Each combination may only enter one section, but a pony/horse may compete in a max. of 2 sections if with a different rider. 11.00am approx. start for class 2, please check when course walking or phone Sat 2-5 pm. CLASS 2 PAIRS Horses or Ponies, one combination not to have won a x-country. 2ft 3ins approx. CLASS 3 NOVICE PONY Combination never to have won any Hunter, Eventer Trial or One Day Event at this height or over, course is 2ft 3ins approx. Q CLASS 4 NOVICE HORSE Combination not to have won a Hunter or Eventer Trial or One Day Event at this height or over, course is 2ft 3ins approx. Q CLASS 5 OPEN PONY Course is approx. 2ft 9ins. Q CLASS 6 INTERMEDIATE HORSE Course is approx. 2ft 9ins.- Not to have been placed 1st or 2nd in an Open competition at 3ft or over. Q CLASS 7 OPEN HORSE Course is approx. 3ft 3ins. Q
CLASS 2 PAIRS - JUDGED ON STYLE & “DRESSING, BEFORE TIME. CLASSES 3-7 - TO BE JUDGED ON OPTIMUM TIME. * * * * * * * * ENTRIES by noon Wednesday 19th August & will be limited. TELEPHONE ENTRIES WITH DEBIT/CREDIT CARD OR SEND CHEQUE. NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY. LATE ENTRIES £5 EXTRA IF CLASS ALLOWS. ENTRY FEES CLASS 1 = £10.00 Q = E.Rider Qualifers Classes 3-7 only.
CLASSES 3-7 = £14.00 each ROSETTES Class 1 -3 Tier 1st to 6th Classes 2-7 -3 Tier 1st to 10th (if entries warrant). TROPHIES Small trophies to winners & runners up in each class 2-7 only. Classes 2-7 also have a perpetual trophy to keep for one year.
FENCES KINDLY SPONSORED BY BARCLAYS , GLADWELLS, HUNTER SHAVINGS & WILKINSON ROSETTES. COURSE WALKING From 2.00-6.00 pm Saturday. ALL DOGS ON LEADS. Approx start times for classes 2-7 will be displayed on SATURDAY ON THE COURSE PLAN. If unable to walk on Sat. then you may phone between 2-5pm. THERE WILL BE A £2 RETURNABLE DEPOSIT FOR EACH NUMBER BIB COLLECTED. RULES 1. A HORSE OR PONY MAY ONLY ENTER 2 CLASSES. 2. CORRECT DRESS, BACK PROTECTORS & CRASH HATS MUST BE WORN. 3. ALL DOGS ON LEADS . 4. IF A RIDER IS ELIMINATED E.G. FOR 3 REFUSALS, THEY MAY CONTINUE ON TO THE NEXT FENCE BUT GIVE WAY TO RIDERS BEHIND. HOWEVER IF ASKED TO LEAVE THE COURSE BY A JUMP JUDGE OR OFFICIAL THEN THEY MUST DO SO. 5. NO COMPETITOR MAY APPROACH ANY JUMP JUDGE REGARDING ANY PENALTIES AWARDED. ONE DAY EVENT (2FT 3INS -3FT 3INS) -SUNDAY 30TH AUGUST R.HAAG X-COUNTRY CLINICS (PM/EVES) -16 & 30TH JULY, 11TH AUGUST The x-country course is usually open for hire to groups or individuals, but will be closed to competitors 5 days before each of the 3 dates above.
